Susan E. Shepherd’s “I can do” spirit was the basis for her successes throughout her life. During her golf career she was a member of STLWDGA, a club champion, and had a single digit handicap. Her successful business career began at the age of 50 when she was widowed.
She was chosen as Missouri’s top woman broker in 1980, and became Vice President of sales at Stifel, Nicolaus and Co. Inc. The company called her their “First Lady,” saying she set a high standard for all women to follow.
As part of her legacy, she authorized the creation of the Shepherd Foundation.
